Stroud Lions Club is one of the oldest in Australia – they’ve been helping the local community for more than sixty years.
Many of the long-time members are retiring and the club needs new helping hands to ensure it can continue to be here for the community.
Lions supports the community in many ways: by fundraising for important facilities like the Stroud Community Lodge and the skate park; by supporting our own in times of disaster and hardship (such as the terrible 2015 floods); and by connecting the community through initiatives like the annual Lions Seniors Xmas Party and the Stroud Community Web.
You don’t have to become a Lions member to help the club out, though they’d be delighted if you did!. They also need volunteers who can help out at Lions events and with projects.
So whether you’d like to volunteer, become a Stroud Lions member, or just learn a bit more about the club – they’d love to hear from you!
